Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, this position will be responsible for leading and coordinating commissioning-related activities for the civil infrastructure in the Hurontario lrt. This role requires collaboration with both internal and external resources to deliver project expectations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Meet regularly with Third Party Owners and coordinate (407, MTO, City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, region of Peel & Metrolinx) to discuss third party assets and handover
- Coordinate with the Contracting Authority for all Civil Commissioning activities
- Carry out site walkthrough for Third Party assets with the Owner prior to handover
- Issue Third party handover Certification
- Work closely with Mobilinx Quality team to ensure ITPs are closed prior to starting Commissioning activities
- Provide weekly/monthly update on Commissioning Civil to P Co Commissioning manager
- Manage Third party Commissioning Agents (OMSF and Port Credit) – including coordination with vendors and contractors and witnessing functional performance tests
- Updating Commissioning activities on Procore including uploads of all relevant certificates, checklists, plans, final reports, etc.
- Work with Service Provider on Training and O&M manuals
- Work with Safety & Security Team for Validation
- Work with V&V Team for Project Co Civil Infrastructure
- Work with the Construction team (OMSF, Port Credit, Trackwork, Wet Utilities, Dry Utilities, Roadways, structures, etc.) to obtain construction progress and readiness for Commissioning
- Coordinate with Systems for Site Integration tests (between Civil & Systems)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Have over 5-10 years of experience working with building systems including commissioning experience.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and tasks on each project and be able to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Have the desire to continuously learn to work more effectively.
