About the Job
We are hiring a Quality Control Manager to join our Quality team on the Mobilinx Project. This position reports to the Construction Director.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Manage the Construction Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for all the temporary and pertinent works, in partnership with the responsible design engineers and construction team members.
- Management of the Inspection and test plans to ensure they are fully implemented, and the completed works comply with the design and project requirements.
- Management of 3rd party material testing companies to ensure all the required testing is completed and the results and reports are received in a timely manner.
- This position is a hands-on position. This position will not be a position to manager staff, however manager/lead the project by himself/herself to coordinate with the people that will provide him/her with the documentation related to the work that requires to have a report or a testing being assembled by Contract.
- In order to obtain the required documents, he/she will be required to:
- Coordinate with labours and site personnel to obtain the documentation needed.
- Organize testing company for onsite/offsite testing based on work being performed or future work and follow up with them to obtain results.
- Assemble submittals for the documentation obtained.
- Liaise with respective disciplines to coordinate Engineering Field reviews.
- The Quality Manager will be the primary liaison with the Consultant on all matters pertaining to the Quality requirements of the contract
- Performs site visits to manufacturing plants.
- Review all the QC Inspection checklist and Material test reports to ensure all the ITP requirements have been meet and ensuring action has been taken when the requirements have not been met.
- Report issues to the Construction or Project Manager and issue NCRs for non-conforming work or processes and Corrective Actions Reports (CAR) based on feedback obtained by him/her by the people involved in the Work.
- Takes action to immediately stop any work or activity, which is not being performed or carried out in accordance with the design, PA or applicable regulatory requirements.
- Report on the Inspection & Test Status to the Construction or Project Manager.
- Preparing Quality Audit Plans which will be integrated with the overall Quality Audit Program and scheduling and coordinating Internal Quality Audits and External Quality Audits of key processes identified in the CQMP.
- Review of subcontractor Quality Management and Inspection and Test Plans for consistency with the Construction Quality Management Plan and Project Inspection & Test Plan.
- Ensuring that relevant records are maintained and retained in accordance with the Project Requirements.
What We Are Looking For?
- A University degree in a relevant discipline (civil, mechanical preferred), or the equivalent.
- A minimum of t (10) years quality management experience in construction of infrastructure/transit projects, preferably in the role of Quality Manager.
- Sound judgment, excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven experience managing and coordinating Quality activities on large projects.
- Certified as a quality professional from a certifying body, as a minimum successful completion of an ISO 9001: 2015 Lead Auditor Course.
- Proven experience on tunneling and marine projects of similar scope and value.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills to deal with complex, multi-disciplinary issues involving Third Party agencies, governments, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities; and
- Experience in TBM Tunnelling and Marine Works (Riser Installation)
- Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
