About the Job

We are hiring a Site Coordinator – Trackworks to join our Trackworks team on the Mobilinx Project. This position reports to the Senior Manager – Trackworks.

What You Will Be Doing?

  • Daily site visits. Role is at least 75% Field, 25% Office.
  • Signing of daily reports from subcontractors if required
  • Collect field tickets from foremen each day
  • Be available to Super and PM (including weekends and overtime) when work is being carried out on a section under their responsibility. If unavailable, this needs to be communicated before work starts.
  • Ensure that 3WLA is being followed and flag issues when they arise.

Engineering

  • Have a complete understanding of Mobilinx scope of work and schedule
  • Have a complete understanding of design and shop drawings prior to work starting
  • Have a complete understanding of project specifications and tolerances
  • Have a complete understanding of section work plans and identify any changes that need to be made as required.
  • Have a complete understanding of ITPs and ensure work is being performed in accordance.
  • Raise RFIs to Office Coordinator for official submission to design team

Coordination/Progress Reporting

  • Take and upload Daily photos to project management portal
  • Schedule subcontractors required for testing including but not limited to:
    1. Pull out tests
    2. Track to earth testing
    3. Rebar Inspection
    4. Concrete Testing
  • Arrange traffic control measures for daily work
  • Track work progress and issue weekly dashboards showing the progress of the work. Report progress daily in the appropriate UoM (TBD with PM, APM and OE). Communicate to manager if any deviations and impacts (manpower, production, delays) daily.

Quality

  • Quality Inspections
    1. DAILY rebar inspections based on shop drawings. Thorough inspection to be completed before POR visit.
    2. DAILY quality checks during installation of DF components (rail pads, clips, shims, plates, etc.) to ensure track structure if correct.
    3. DAILY update of weld map when required.
    4. Identify the location of bonded joints and sequence of thermite welds for STW
    5. Inspection of both Bonded Joints and Thermite Welds to ensure that they are compliant with project specification.
    6. Monitoring of clipping temperature and de-stress temperature
    7. Complete site visit with POR and get hold point release
    8. Manage documentation for CPs in Procore
  • Ensure that all equipment on site is calibrated
  • Inspect all permanent material upon receiving it on site and ensure that MRRs are completed correctly. Notify Project Manager of any missing material.

What We Are Looking For?

  • University degree in civil engineering or Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma.
  • P3 Project experience (Design-Build etc.) is an asset.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience as a Construction within the Heavy Civil or Trackworks market.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
